As cooler temperatures settle in, it's time to embrace a new season at the Planet Bluegrass Wildflower Pavilion. Planet Bluegrass has extended the musical festivities into October with a new mini-festival and concert series. Tickets are still available, so secure yours now and enjoy some great music and cooler temperatures at this treasured local venue in the heart of Lyons.

Wildflower FallGrass Festival

This weekend marks the arrival of the new Wildflower FallGrass festival, akin to the younger sibling of summer’s RockyGrass fest. Over two days, expect an abundance of great music, delicious food and drink, organized jam sessions, and ample opportunities to unwind in the campground, play music, and create cherished memories.

The campground welcomes guests starting at 3pm on Friday, the 15th. At 4pm, the grounds, bar, and food vendors open their doors. This Friday night lineup features Tray Wellington and popular local group, the Fretliners, taking the stage at 6:30pm.

Saturday will see Jordan Tice & Friends, alongside Shadowgrass and the Cody Sisters, gracing the stage, with the show commencing at 5:30. Don't forget to participate in the organized jams earlier in the day, running from 10 am to 2 pm.

Tickets for the one-day festival pass are priced at $35, while two-day passes go for $75. For those planning to camp or park for two nights, passes are available at $50. It's worth noting that camping passes are per person, not per site. Children aged 12 and under can attend for free when accompanied by a paying adult, making it a family-friendly event. To secure a prime seat for the shows, be sure to arrive early as the pavilion opens an hour before showtime.

Fall Wildflower Concert Series

The excitement continues the following Wednesday, the 20th, as the Wildflower Concert Series kicks off. In the first week, you'll be treated to the exceptional talents of East Nash Grass, a dynamic ensemble of musicians hailing from the vibrant East Nashville music scene. Together, they create a musical experience that is not to be missed.

On Wednesday, October 11th, prepare to be enchanted by The Last Revel, hailing from Minneapolis. Their fusion of rock, folk, rockabilly, and old-time string band music, referred to as "Front Porch Americana," offers a timeless and original sound. This talented trio of multi-instrumentalists delivers haunting harmonies, captivating soundscapes, and foot-stomping fun for audiences of all ages.

The Wildflower Concert Series is open to all ages, with tickets available for $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Once again, children aged 12 and under can attend for free with a paying adult. Parking for each show opens at 5 pm, and the pavilion doors swing open at 6:30, with the music starting at 7:30. Please note that camping and outside alcohol are not permitted for this concert series.
